As evil is a part of all things, evil is a part of our world of magic. And the irony of all existence is that good would be totally impotent without the contrast of evil...
That must be your decision child. Go, and you may never return to the magic realm. For even now the great dome of invisibility grows over our world to protect its sanctity for all time. And no one on the outside may enter its boundaries, save for the length of a dream, or a flash of an inspiration. But it will stay, through the years and the centuries and the ages, a part of man for all time. And whenever man needs magic, we will be here.

Excerpts from The Flight of Dragons, spoken by the Green Wizard Carolinus

We humans have this insatiable urge to define the things that surround us. In an attempt to understand and have this feeling of control... Uncertainty is an evil monster that brings fear, and innocence a mere luxury to be shed at one point. In this world we are mere wandering children that share the same energy amidst beings which share the same rights of existence.

「MONのCHROMΣ」: Emerald Eden

emeraldedenoIt was raining that day, but it was a rewarding trek. There was a hidden lagoon were it was only lit up above from an openning in the forest canopy. It felt like everything was made of flowing jade.

「MONのCHROMΣ」: Zen

I'm simply saying that there is a way to be sane. I'm saying that you can get rid of all this insanity created by the past in you. Just by being a simple witness of your thought processes.

It is simply sitting silently, witnessing the thoughts, passing before you. Just witnessing, not interfering not even judging, because the moment you judge you have lost the pure witness. The moment you say “this is good, this is bad,” you have already jumped onto the thought process.

It takes a little time to create a gap between the witness and the mind. Once the gap is there, you are in for a great surprise, that you are not the mind, that you are the witness, a watcher.

And this process of watching is the very alchemy of real religion. Because as you become more and more deeply rooted in witnessing, thoughts start disappearing. You are, but the mind is utterly empty.

That’s the moment of enlightenment. That is the moment that you become for the first time an unconditioned, sane, really free human being.

Osho, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

From time to time we need to detach ourselves from the sensory overload of the material world. And use this valuable time of silence to reflect. This detachment is the key towards inner peace which no one else can give.

I am in no way an advocate of Bhagwan and his teachings, however I believe that even in borderline heretic philosophies one can find true genious. And it is that ability to carefully discern what is good that separates enlightened minds from the clinically insane.
